homes for rent, plus a venue space for functions. All have views across to Coromandel and Waiheke Island.
Pop-up blow dry at The Langham
The Langham, Auckland has launched a Mod’s Hair blow dry bar for the Christmas party season. The five-star hotel is partnering with the international Mod’s Hair Paris group, which is installing a ‘pop up’ blow dry bar in a Chuan Spa suite at the hotel in time for the festive social whirl.

2011 Sevens In Heaven
Auckland club College Rifles made it back-to-back titles at the 2011 International Sevens in Heaven rugby tournament played in Rarotonga a couple of weeks ago. They thumped one of the tournament favourites, Tauae Bulls 26-7, in the final in front of a 2000-plus crowd at BCI Stadium.

Auckland’s 5-star Pullman Hotel has unveiled its new $10,000-a-night Presidential Penthouse. The hotel’s GM Rob McIntyre says the suite’s size and stature is a first for New Zealand and puts the hotel a class above its counterparts.
No expense has been spared in the 286 sq m interior space across two levels on the top floor of the hotel’s Residence Tower. The penthouse commands Waitemata Harbour and Hauraki Gulf views from the five balconies covering a total of 110 sq m.
New name and look for NZ’s largest hotel
The 452-room Rendezvous Hotel Auckland, the country’s largest, is currently undergoing refurbishment as part of a multi-million dollar Group re-branding initiative announced last month.
